Who We Are and What We Do
DLS Care offers a supportive, loving environment to young persons, who are unable, for whatever reason, to live with parents and / or relatives.
Through the provision of good quality accommodation and effective support services, we aim to bring transformation to the lives of young persons, no matter their background and upbringing.
In providing our services, we are innovative in all we do, from implementing effective technology solutions for care management and compliance management, to partnering with cutting edge training providers for the benefit of the young persons entrusted to us.
Our Aims & Objectives
- To help transform the lives of young persons who are placed with us, through the provision of high quality, effective supported accommodation and outreach support services.
- To give the Local Authorities, and Parents / Guardians with whom we partner, the confidence that we will provide the services in a professional, cost effective and fully compliant manner, to achieve the stated objectives.
- To provide a positive and supportive work environment, in which our staff will feel valued, listened to and want to stay with us, thereby enabling us to provide high quality services and continuity of care to our young persons, whilst helping our staff to achieve their full potential.
Our Vision
Through an ongoing process of learning and continuous improvement, we aspire to become the ‘Provider of Choice’ (to Local Authorities, parents AND young persons) for the services we provide, evidenced by:
- The readiness of our young persons to integrate into society at age 18, without or with very little need for further Council support
- To provide the widest range of opportunities for young persons to develop and grow, through internal programmes and partnering with other organisations
- The creation of an environment such that our young persons, and our staff, feel highly valued and part of a wider family
- The ability to take on young persons that others avoid (‘no-one left behind!’)
- The ability to take on sibling groups and actually tailor our accommodation provision to suit their needs
- To inspire other Providers to increase the breadth and quality of their services
Why DLS Care?
Whilst we can never truly replace the love of a mother and father, we want our young persons to experience something special, something different. Our hope is that they would feel a sense of belonging, that they are listened to and that they are wanted.
We believe that effective discipline is actually part of being fully loved and want to bring structure and order to lives that may have been chaotic.
We believe in the potential of all young persons and will do our utmost to give them hope and a future, so that they can all live fulfilling lives and make a positive contribution to society.
